This position is for a Sr Network Engineer / Consulting Level to assist with large network integration projects. 2-3 years ago HCA bought the Galen College of Nursing with the intention of this school to be a feeder into the HCA organization for nursing talent. This strategy is expanding and there are going to be 15 campuses that will line up with HCA divisions, so trying to open 14 new nursing schools in addition to Galen and integrate them into the HCA network and get them live over the next few years. This role is to conduct integration project work surrounding the integration of Galen College of Nursing network and future campuses into the HCA nursing. We are seeking an experienced Sr Cisco Network Engineer to do design, installation, and integration. CCNP is preferred. Seeking 8-10 years of Cisco knowledge, routing, switching, following standards, policies and standards, firewalls, remote connectivity. Cisco covers 90% of it. BGP, OSPF
Provide Consultant level subject matter expertise in support of optimizing network availability, performance and standardization for two (2) or more HCA Divisions.
Position will represent Division interests at the Enterprise level and will provide guidance / oversight on local network design decisions, ensuring compliance with current and future standards.
Position will guide new network technology deployments in assigned Divisions including facilitating necessary training for Division engineers.
Position will provide Level 3 support for Division operational issues that are beyond the abilities of a Senior Division Network Engineer.
Success will be measured based on network availability, network performance, stakeholder satisfaction, attainment of standardization goals and project delivery targets
Successful candidate must be able to balance competing requests from multiple stakeholder groups maintaining long term client satisfaction.
Strong Communication organizational skills are essential.
Extensive knowledge of Cisco Networking in a complex enterprise environment.
Cisco Network experience in a healthcare environment.
Track record of building strong strategic relationships.
