The Sr Cloud and Network Engineer provides advanced, multi-technology platform engineering throughout project life cycles connecting client systems hosted on site, in 3rd party data centers, and on public or private cloud environments. These responsibilities will require the candidate to be a Subject Matter Expert across cloud hosting solutions (i.e., AWS, GCP and Azure), network technologies, service support, and other related infrastructure and application components. The candidate must provide solutions that meet Client and Vendor / Application Partner requirements and exceed service levels.  This role will also be intimately involved in the design, architecture, planning and migration of the applications to the cloud or alternative hosting environments.   
This position will interact daily with Project Management Teams, Client Delivery Leaders, Business Partners, Vendors, and CereCore infrastructure team members, as well as client technical and business stakeholders for developing network solutions to meet client requirements. Strong written and oral communications skills for working with external clients will be required.  Project delivery and problem management skills are required to effectively meet CereCore business objectives and exceed client expectations.

  • Design, deploy and support complex client and organic network solutions across multiple cloud vendors utilizing best practice switching/routing technologies and topologies. 

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to network infrastructure events.

  • Assist with client and organic network standards, policies, procedures, and documentation

  • Participate in business continuity planning and disaster recovery.

  • Integration of new technologies within a complex network environment.

  • Provide product and technology evaluations, research and participate in vendor selections.

  • Work with vendors on product design enhancements  and integration of new technologies.

  • Provide network troubleshooting/problem resolutions and protocol analysis with network trace/capture/analysis software.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with cloud migration technologies such as Google Migrate, AWS SMS, Azure Migrate, Plate Spin, Azure Site Recovery, CloudEndure.

  • Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience of integrating public cloud into tradition hosting/delivery models.

  • Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques and workflows (on premise to Cloud Platforms).

  • System architecture and tiered application modules knowledge.  Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns.

  • Network impact analysis, modeling, network capacity planning

  • Software/hardware device upgrades, LAN equipment configurations/provisioning.

  • IP addressing, variable length subnet masking.

  • Wide Area Network technology design, provisioning and configuration.

  • Networking services for ACS, AAA, DHCP, BOOTP, DNS, ICMP and SNMP.

  • Design and Support for network security technologies and products (e.g., ASA, Checkpoint, Juniper SSL and NetScaler).

  • Remote access technologies (e.g., SSL-VPN, IPSec, B2B, private line and Dial-up).

  • Quality of service configuration and testing.

  • Advanced Load-balancing configuration and monitoring.

  • Project Management and problem management skill sets.

  • ITIL Knowledge.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management preferably within a healthcare technology services and consulting environment.

  • University degree or equivalent work experience. 

  • Active professional development (e.g. educational courses, certification, etc;).  

  • GCP, AWS or Azure Cloud Platform training and Certification highly preferred

  • Preferred experience with healthcare provider software vendor multi-site and cloud hosting.
