CereCore is seeking a Director, Finance to join our team Remotely in UK (with some travel to London office).    

Summary:

The Director of Finance Operations is responsible for all aspects of Cerecore UK financial planning and reporting. This leader will work with corporate finance, the executive team and service line leaders to ensure budgets, forecasts and standard/or ad hoc reporting are complete and accurate.  The Director of Finance Operations is also responsible for client invoicing and payment issue resolution as well as month end close.
The Director of Finance Operations is responsible for ensuring accounting best practices and all regulatory requirements are adhered to.  
This role will be part of the Cerecore UK Leadership team and as such will be able to consistently demonstrate the associated job competencies and company values.
 
Responsibilities:  ​ 
  • Manage periodic projection, annual forecasting, and annual budgeting
  • Explain, analyze, and present financial performance
  • Identify and prioritize operation challenges, risks and opportunities while recommending action plans
  • Provide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, and recommendations on variances and trends for future financial performance improvements
  • Collaborate with Operation leaders to meet their needs for financial data
  • Support the business in protecting, growing and optimizing the assets of Cerecore
  • Continuously improve the finance organizational efficiency and effectiveness by leading and participating in internal improvement initiatives
  • Oversee the preparation of various monthly financial reports
  • Work with functional leaders in developing their annual plan and forecast
  • Review and analyze financial results and discuss variances/actions with the functional leaders
  • Check month-end and year-end closing activities to confirm entries are properly recorded in general ledger and in accordance with the policy and accounting best practice or regulations and account reconciliations are completed
  • Manage the preparation of cost estimates and invoicing for external customers.
  • Manage a team of financial analysts and internal accountants for the CereCore UK team.
  • Provides financial data and advice in all financial aspects of the business strategy
  • Ensures revenue and profit projections for short and long term growth are reasonable and evidence based
  • Builds positive relationships with the corporate finance, Cerecore US/UK leadership team, service line leaders, and other support teams
  • Communicates status, issues, risks and escalations effectively to the executive team
  • Ensures activities adhere to all established policies and procedures and standards of business conduct.
Position Requirements: 
  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience; preferably within a professional services environment
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Certified accountant preferred
  • Proven experience with Financial Reporting and Analysis and Planning with strong problem-solving and decision making skills; must be a self-starter
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Prior experience with financial data retrieval and reporting systems such as: Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle PeopleSoft Financials, Workday, Infor, etc.
  • Extensive experience with Financial Reporting, Analysis and Planning
  • Deep understanding of accounting and finance transactions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to negotiate and influence
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires critical thinking
  • Manages self and others to provide exceptional client service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability, and integrity
  • Establishes deliverable structure and content; Reviews deliverables of self and others team to ensure that they meet expectations; and enforces high standards for quality deliverables
