SDET-Software Engineer in Test-Mid Level to join our team in Nashville, TN
. This individual will work at one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.
Summary:
The Technical Test Analyst II manages and performs all aspects of the application and functional testing activities for a healthcare project. The position requires deep technical skills, the ability to grasp business concepts quickly and experience working in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will consistently strive to learn emerging technologies that would be useful for the job role. Further, this position will require outstanding communication skills in order to collaborate with the project team.
In this position, you will:
- Analyzes functional requirements for initiatives that are expected to return significant business value, may require a change to enterprise business solution(s). Designs, develops test approach, plan, and dependencies.
- Leads and or validates the development and accuracy of test cases, test data, traceability matrix, and metrics to ensure all testing requirements are accurate. Communicates/Presents results to IT and key stakeholders. Tracks and verifies any required corrections and ensures completion.
- Modifies test cases; assists the development team in recreation of defects; validates defect fixes based on documented defects.
- Diagnose results and analyze large output datasets for accuracy and integrity across multiple systems; analyze cross-functional impact of changes in relationship to software updates, bug fixes, new releases of software internally or externally developed. Communicates results to IT and key stakeholders. Tracks and verifies any required corrections and ensures completion.
- Help to ensure project testing activities are completed on-time and without delivery of critical defects to the field; ensuring team members are properly prepared and enabled to complete their assigned duties.
- Ability to work with development to build and execute automated tests.
- Participates in development planning meetings with the Product Analyst and development team and communicates with business and IT on the status of testing activities and other assigned activities in meeting project delivery deadlines.
- Participate in discussions with stakeholders pertaining to project estimates, schedules and critical issues that would prevent go/no go.
- Continually incorporates process efficiencies without sacrificing quality. Ability to build both manual and automated regression suites and track cost savings for automation.
- Help define and implement operational and process improvements for testing activities; enable increase in quality of software delivered for testing through increased visibility of defects and delays.
- Use and teach other SDETs about various QA tools and toolsets, such as MS Unit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, Selenium Grid, Jenkins, Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Participate in design and ongoing usage of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and DevOps concepts using tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.
- Build and Maintain an Automation framework for use of DB, API, UI, Mobile and Performance Testing.
Requirements:
- Technical, creative, and efficient extraction of related data and analysis techniques to ensure quality for prescribed business uses. Knowledge of different database systems and data relationships are critical in this role.
- Manages and performs all aspects of data analysis and validation, as well as application functional testing activities for a given effort.
- Manual and automated test case creation and execution for testing Revenue Cycle projects related to healthcare.
- The position requires deep technical skills, the ability to grasp business concepts quickly and experience working in an agile environment.
