CereCore is seeking a Consulting Application Engineer (Kronos) to join our team Remotely.
Summary Lead team members in the design, development, implementation, and support of the Kronos iSeries system. The Consulting Applications Engineer must possess the ability to lead and effectively manage multiple concurrent projects while also mentoring other team members. This position also provides key problem-solving resolution direction for production systems as needed. And, this position has an in depth understanding of services provided by HCA, ITG and develops relationships throughout the organization for assistance in accomplishing team goals for the company.
This position serves as a lead agent during project discovery, working collaboratively with business leaders and stakeholders to establish a shared understanding of business needs. This position leads the identification of well-defined engagement objectives, scope, dependencies and risks for projects that are projected to deliver business value, require ITG infrastructure changes, or present technical or operational risks. This position also ensures alignment between engagement objectives and business strategic direction is maintained.
Responsibilities
Lead project/product releases.
Actively lead, direct, and participate in complex design and development assignments
Thoroughly understand assigned applications and system architecture
Conduct research for understanding of new industry technologies as needed.
Consistently deliver according to commitments and project plan dates.
Delegate tasks for effective delivery of solutions
Provide unit testing to ensure that the coding is complete prior to migrating the work to QA
Follow the development life cycle and adhere to the standard procedures
Support acquisitions work for the Kronos system
Research and resolve issues identified in systems and interfaces
Determine root cause for problems and implement improvements to prevent repeated occurrences
Collaborate with business analysts on project requirements.
Lead troubleshooting activities when complex issues arise
Work on assignments involving the use of various technologies both old and new.
Provide creative solutions and database/software management scenarios to address new and unique business requirements
Interpret, convert and configure facility pay policy requirements at the direction of the Payroll Service Centers and local markets into system requirements for entities migrating to the Kronos iSeries platform
Directly configure and maintain 3rd party time & attendance software for major initiatives as well as ongoing maintenance
Configuration of complex pay policies
Conduct unit testing, system testing, and acceptance testing of configured time & attendance software in conjunction with Lawson QA team
Work with 3rd party vendor (Kronos) in the solution of issues and problems that go beyond 2nd level support expertise
Work in a team environment with very integrated team member roles (i.e. consultant configuration specialists, RPG programming staff, Customer Support Services, Payroll Service Center teams, etc) to support all major initiatives (Lawson deployment, Payroll Consolidation) and ongoing maintenance.
Ensure all new software configuration documentation is accurate and up to date
Ensure the standardization of configuration practices and policies across the group are followed
Assist with resolving hardware issues that cannot be resolved by 1st or 2nd level support
Analyze new technology
Fulfill certain roles as assigned by management, such as overall testing coordination & documentation, special group planning & review coordination, overall help-desk ticket coordination, etc
Ensure troubleshooting issues with Kronos timekeeping system to determine if the issue is related to configuration or system limitations as needed.
Mentor client support services
Provide after hours/on-call support as needed
Requirements
7-10 years of relevant experience
UKG Kronos frontend developer – full stack developer preferred
Must have experience with Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Workforce Central, and iSeries 4.1 and 6.1
Experience participating on previous platform migrations to UKG WFD
