The Business Analyst is a crucial role in the maintenance and improvement of Case Management operations. The analyst builds relationships with the Case Management Business Technology, ITG, and corporate teams and leaders in the Case Management space to understand thoroughly the business strategies and problems and identify opportunities for improvements as it relates to the various technologies being implemented in the respective areas.
The analyst reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and audit business processes, systems, and user needs and collaborates with all stakeholders in order to recommend system and business process modifications to support business strategies.
The Business Analyst must be able to work with the business to identify and prioritize the underlying business needs
and requirements. The analyst will work with the team to ensure business requirements and priorities are understood
and high-quality solutions are provided. The analyst will also help identify and mitigate project risks with specific
studies and sponsor agreements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
70%-diagnosis and provide resolution of application and hardware related issues.
• Work with other internal and external ITG resources to diagnose and resolve system issues. Good problem solving skills is a must.
• Proactive and able to identify potential issues and can come up with solutions that can be shared with supervisor.
• Research and resolve issues identified in application systems and interfaces.
• Assist in the deployment of enhancements and other changes in the organization.
• Work with ITG representatives to ensure activities are completed correctly and on schedule.
20%-Provide assistance for coordination of deployment and configuration activities.
• Assist with technical activities at corporate and in the field associated with the deployment of any technologies used by Case Managers, CDI, and Utilization Review teams in HCA facilities.
• Understands change management processes and can work with ITG representatives in corporate office to ensure completed code is migrated properly from one environment to another.
• Provide assistance and input for development of the Case Management reporting and monitoring efforts.
• Support the Midas implementations in newly acquired facilities.
10%-Communication
• Provide research and resolution of issues identified in the application and interfaces.
• Keep team and team manager updated on active issues and efforts to resolve.
• Work closely with team members to translate highly technical information and activities into meaningful knowledge to support decision making of ITG and Business Technology leaders.
The ideal candidate for this position has an IT product analysis background with strong communication skills with various audiences, and ability to guide other team members in project tasks.
Software implementations experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Understanding of HL7, data transfers, and communication between disparate hospital systems is a plus.
