Primary Care Technical Change Lead

Contract Length: 12-months with possibility of extension

CereCore is seeking a highly motivated organised and experienced Primary Care Technical Change Lead to join our team based in London, UK supporting the delivery of the Meditech Expanse Electronic Healthcare Record to the HCA Organisation. The successful applicant will lead a team of highly skilled Technical Analysts.

Reporting to the Head of Department, they will be pivotal in driving forward the technical aspects of the deployment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages the process for deploying and integrating the technical aspects of new digital capability into the business in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with business operations
  • Works with Programme Primary Care workstream and other workstreams to drive planning, design and build and delivery of high-quality functionality afforded by the new EHR system. Confidently identifies opportunities to automate routine processes.
  • Defines and creates EHR Programme business readiness plan, taking into consideration any business activities required to translate and integrate new digital processes to "business as usual"
  • Determines the technical readiness levels of business users regarding upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior to going live.
  • Evaluates current departmental procedures/processes and makes recommendations for proposing and/or re-engineering to best utilise capabilities of business systems and enhance departmental productivity, performance and accuracy
  • Identifies and monitors data, trends, specifications and processes across the Primary Care facilities within HCA and articulates them effectively.
  • Works with Clinical Change Managers to ensure proposed technical solutions are fit for purpose, are patient-centric, and embed best practices with the patient/customer always at the core of the business.
  • Liaises with other internal and external colleagues and stakeholders in a proactive and confident manner and attends stakeholder and leadership meetings as required
  • Assists the Organisation to ensure that appropriate/proposed integration interfaces are assessed and deemed fit for purpose.
  • Manages the planning, testing evaluation and validation of pathways to give assurance of safe transition of data across all deployment environments to the live EHR system.
  • Continually investigates innovative ideas and technological concepts, to improve current systems and propose efficiencies.
  • Manages a small but highly skilled team of Technical Specialists in both the UK and US.
  • Manages the resources effectively and is able to provide effective 1:1 and group leadership – identifying opportunities for individual and Team growth

Position Requirements:

Essential

  • Ability to adopt an ‘umbrella’ overview of the activity in a complex delivery to ensure that interdependencies are acknowledged, captured, assessed and addressed
  • Flexible approach to availability in response of the changing needs and priorities of the business
  • Extensive experience working on Technical aspects of implementation projects
  • Deep understanding of the Change Management Process in a software development environment.
  • Experience of managing teams with diverse and complementary technical skills
  • Demonstrable experience within a Technical role at senior management level
  • Demonstration of requirements analysis, advising on scope and options for continuous operational improvement
  • Experience in assessing and evaluating application risk and documenting/mitigating/escalating risks and issues.
  • Experience of making proactive contributions to the implementation of appropriate working practices and culture in security, privacy and ethics.
  • Experience in effective application management workflows
  • High levels of Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint literacy

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Technical equivalent) preferred
  • Certification in technical delivery of other Vendor EHR’s (or evidence of incremental skills and experience)
  • Previous experience in Electronic Health Record implementation projects in one or more of the following areas: Test Cycles; Business Analysis / Reporting; Health Information Management; Role Based Access Control; Data Segregation/Integration; Business Intelligence (such as PowerBI)
  • Exposure to/experience of operating within Project Agile/Waterfall environments
