The Project Manager reports to the Project Manager Lead within the Delivery Team and works to ensure that assigned parts of a project are documented, planned and delivered per plans and budgets. This individual serves as a single point of accountability to provide project management, using the CereCore project controls.

The Project Manager must demonstrate a strong commitment to stakeholder and team relationships by proactively communicating and supporting proactive management of actions, risks, and issues and other governance items; and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner. Applied to this position, your skills will help transform healthcare through technology and solutions that dramatically improve patient care and business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage delivery of end to end EHR implementation projects and manage client expectations
  • Organise project activities into manageable work efforts for team members and determine Author/facilitate creation of project management documents such as project charters/scope statements and project plans.
  • Manage day to day monitoring of tasks and activities, and initiate corrective action where necessary in order to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare and/or ensure delivery of high quality, professional project deliverables as required by each project plan.
  • Monitor and report status to internal and external stakeholders on project activities and deliverables within published timelines.
  • Coach project team members to understand project scope, clarify task assignments, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage business owner(s) and team member(s) relationships to accomplish project activities.
  • Continually assess action items, risks, and issues maintaining risks, issue and other governance items.
  • Prepare and deliver reporting and escalate any issues, as appropriate, in a timely manner.
  • Manage the project based on agreed scope, manage scope creep, ensure change requests are clearly called out, agreed, and impacted against timelines.
  • Builds positive relationships with the Cerecore US/UK project management teams, service line leaders, support teams, existing client leaders and vendor partners.
  • Communicates status, issues, risks and escalations effectively to direct leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Ensures activities adhere to all established policies and procedures and standards of business conduct.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management preferably within a healthcare technology services and consulting environment.
  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Active professional development (e.g. educational courses, certification, etc;). PMP certification or Prince2 certification preferred.
  • Organisation - stays focused and proactively prioritises initiatives; determines and effectively manages tasks and resources; schedules activities with an ability to multi-task.
  • Project Management – accountable for and applies project management methodology and CereCore governance controls to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Tactical Execution - effectively manages the project controls of complex processes.
  • PC Skills – demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Project) and other portfolio and resource management tools.
  • Facilitation – facilitates agreement in small groups of people at the peer level for purposes of planning, problem solving, or project execution; opens discussions effectively and closes discussions with clear summaries and actions
  • Preferred experience managing EPR implementation projects, including MEDITECH, Cerner or Epic.
