System Engineer to join our team
in Franklin, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality.
- Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Ensures system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
- Supports MedHost Financial and Revenue Cycle application as needed. Includes application security, application upgrades, configuration, automation, user interface and new builds.
- Performs break/fix troubleshooting, server and software updates and feature enhancements to relevant technology infrastructure; implements and troubleshoots complex environments.
- Clearly and concisely articulate problems and solutions for issues over the phone, via e-mail and in person.
- Conducts training of customers and company employees in both formal and informal environments
- Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Position Requirements:
- 5+ Years senior level experience.
- Skills: iSeries, Storage, VIOS, BRMS, iRobot experience.
- Understanding of IBM Power Technology and Power System Configurations
- Hands-on experience in a corporate environment:
- Supporting multiple versions of IBM i Operating System solutions (V7R2, and/or V7R3)
- LPAR and virtualization experience
- Hardware Management Console (HMC)
- Basic network understanding surrounding TCP/IP and SNA
- System recovery / Library refresh / Object restores
- PTF,OS & Software upgrades
- System troubleshooting
- System security / Security setups / Audit needs
- iRobot experience-IBM i Monitoring/Alerting Concepts (Monitoring of Messages, Jobs, System Performance/Stats, Job Queue, Output Queue, ect.)
- Helpsystems Sequel experience.
